Roy Lee January, Jr. was the youngest child born to Roy Lee January, Sr., and Annie Dickerson January. He was born on September 28, 1962, in Bossier City, Louisiana. He departed this life on January 6, 2022, at Parker Adventist Hospital, Parker, Colorado.

After his family moved to Austin, Texas in 1971, Roy attended public schools and graduated from LBJ High School. Later, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, from Park University, and a Master's degree in Business from Pfeiffer University.

Roy loved his career of more than twenty years in the information technology field and was blessed to achieve his dream of working in the aerospace industry at The Boeing Company in Englewood, Colorado prior to his death.

As a faithful Christian, Roy was a leader in the Mountain Plains District of the Wesleyan Church, where he was a member for 8 years. Roy cherished his family, and was a devoted son, husband, and father. He was also committed to caring for his community and served as a board member for a Denver-based behavioral health organization.

Roy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Angela January, and son Stephen January, Denver, Colorado.He also leaves to mourn, his father, Roy Lee January, Sr. (Ruby); his mother, Annie Dickerson January Williams, Austin, Texas; one brother, Robert T. January, Austin, Texas; three sisters, Stacey January Thomas, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Cassandra (Reginald) Goodwin, Greensboro, NC and Sonja January, Austin, Texas. Additionally, to cherish his memories are aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins across the United States. He also leaves several long-time friends and numerous Christian brothers and sisters who will reflect on his well-lived life.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville.Funeral Services will be 2pm Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with interment following at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
